One of the many benefits that the practice of yoga and mindfulness provides is the increased ability to respond to circumstances as they arise rather than react. It is our goal to take this training off the mat or meditation cushion and into the world.
Yesterday, the Mayor of Cincinnati declared a State of Emergency due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) with the World Health Organization taking the lead, declaring the virus a pandemic. Many companies, universities and even the NBA have migrated to stay at home mandates or online platforms for the time being.
Our day to day lives may evolve drastically during this time of unknown surrounding COVID-19. All of this is new and changing constantly. In line with recommendations from the CDC and best practices to date, Project Yoga will temporarily suspend weekly lessons with several of program partners through Monday, April 20th. In the interim we will continue to monitor the situation, re-evaluate and in best case scenario resume lessons as soon as it deemed appropriate and safe for our volunteers, students and staff.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this matter continues to unfold and look forward to getting back to our regularly scheduled programing as soon as possible.
We offer compassion and loving- kindness to all of those impacted by the coronavirus.
